Tile floors that last for decades
Tile is one of the most durable floors you can put in a home. It doesn’t absorb spills, it resists scratches, and it stays cool underfoot through a San Antonio summer.
We install porcelain and ceramic tile throughout the whole house, including kitchens, bathrooms, entryways, laundry rooms, and living areas. Wood-look porcelain tile is a popular way to get a plank look in rooms where wood won’t hold up. We also install backsplash and wall tile.
Have a cracked tile instead? We can do the repair work, but you should have the replacement tile on hand. If your tile is more than two years old, it is very hard to match. See our floor repair services.

Why tile is a smart choice

Tile stays cool underfoot, which helps during long Texas summers.
Resists wear
Tile stands up to heavy traffic, pets, and scratches better than most floors.

Tile in San Antonio homes: what to know
Slab foundations
Tile bonds well to a sound concrete slab. If the slab has cracks, a crack isolation membrane helps keep them from showing up in the tile.
Heat and sun
Tile doesn’t mind temperature swings, which makes it a strong choice for sunrooms and rooms with lots of afternoon sun.
Grout care
Sealing cement grout helps it resist stains. Darker or stain-resistant grout colors hide dirt in busy areas.
Large-format tile
Big tiles mean fewer grout lines, but they need a very flat floor. Keep in mind that large tile needs a large area or large room to look its best. We’ll let you know if your subfloor needs leveling first.
Tile flooring questions
Is porcelain better than ceramic for floors?
For most floors, yes. Porcelain is denser and absorbs less water, so it holds up better in wet and busy areas. Ceramic works well in bathrooms and lower-traffic rooms.
Can new tile go over my existing floor?
Sometimes. Tile can go over a flat, well-bonded tile floor in some cases, but it adds height and weight. Carpet, vinyl, and laminate need to come up first.
How soon can I walk on new tile?
You can usually walk on it lightly after about 24 hours.
Is wood-look tile a good choice?
Yes, especially for kitchens, bathrooms, and homes with pets. You get a plank look with the waterproof performance of porcelain.
Can you replace one cracked tile?
We can do the work, but you should have the replacement tile on hand. If your tile is more than two years old, it is very hard to match, and we don’t have control over that. Keep spare tiles from your install. Learn more about our floor repair services.
How much does tile flooring cost?
The price depends on the tile, the layout, and the size of your space. Visit the showroom or call (210) 509-8551 for a free estimate.
